Mandy Elliott │ Currently

Hi friends, it's Mandy here and I can't believe we are already into the month of October! I'm still working on layouts from this summer in my annual Project Life album and already, the binder is getting pretty thick! Keeping in mind that I'd like to have all my annual Project Life layouts stay in just one binder, I have opted to create some digital layouts with memories that don't necessarily need to be in print form.

One of the things I try to document each year are the TV shows and movies we watch and enjoy on a regular basis. It been interesting to see how we follow certain shows year after year. So, I created a digital 6x8 layout using some of Little Lamm & Co's templates and the pretty gold stars from the Starry Night collection. I also included some brush scripts that fit the theme from the Currently set. I love how these turned out and plan to make a few more digital pages featuring the movies we've enjoyed this year as well!

Do you document your favorite TV shows and movies? If so, how?

Mandy Elliott is professional pet & portrait photographer as well as an avid memory keeper. Her desire to record daily life is deeply embedded in her creative passion as she documents through channels such as Project Life, photography, and journal keeping. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, beloved Jack Russell- Addie, baking, blogging, and traveling.

I am so excited to be the guest on the One Little Bird blog this week!  You can check out my hybrid pocket page layouts for Easter there now!
I made a few other things like some digital scrapbook pages and I forgot how much fun they are to do.  I have been doing hybrid so much. But getting a page done and just printing it to put in my album is so nice!

Recently

Since my old planner is from 1994, I decided to upgrade when I saw the Kikki K had a gold A5.  I will still be using my old planner for my home planner.  With menu planning, cleaning, important info, and lesson plans for Ian.  The new planner will be my calender, create, and work planner.

I used an October Afternoon 6x8 pocket page with 12, 2x2 pocket and cut off a column for my dashboard.   I used mostly papers from Crate Paper's Notes and Things collection for my dividers.  You can see a quick video here

And I love Marcy Penner's Agenda pages.  She now has 2015 in her shop AND they come with A5 and personal size.  I also have a hot pink personal Filofax that I would love to use for a personal binder.

Autumn is in full swing here and it is freezing cold when we wake up, then can get back to 70 in the afternoon.  Trying to get in all the fun outdoor activities we can just in case this winter is again always 30-50 below zero.

I have new cards in my Etsy shop!  The Spooky cards are perfect for documenting your October and Halloween photos.  I combined watercolor and photos.  Printable PDFs are included.  The Spooky card set is on sale through Friday.

I am also trying to get my destash stuff photographed for an Instagram sale.  Keep an eye out for that.  I had to make room in my craft room so lots of things need to go.

I hope you are all enjoying your Autumn or Spring!

Project Life │ Week 22

I did my pages completely in Photoshop Elements this week.  I couldn't wait any more for my Studio Calico kit so, here are the digital versions!  I just have to print out the photos and cards and put them in my pages.

I add photos to a letter size page and use the stroke under edit in Photoshop Elements to outline.  I just use 1px and outside the pictures.  Then, my borders are all nice and even.

Here are my completed pages!

We are going through sunscreen like crazy!  I have to spray Ian and myself down several times a day, and his little feet made such a cute print on the steps.

This big metal train is actaully a planter.  My mom and I went to check out the new Marshall's/Home Goods store and Ian was thrilled to play on this.  I never did find the price tag.  We were able to vivist my grandparents over the weekend for my grandmother's birthday.  Ian had a ton of fun with his cousins and papa.

Last year, we tried the splash pad, but Ian wasn't so into it.  This year, he took off like a crazy man and had sooo much fun!

This photo of my dad with Ian and my niece and nephew, could be a recreation of a moment when my brothers and I were little.  My dad has always been a big kid.

What I used this week.  One Little Bird's Guppy collection was perfect for these photos.  My pages came together in less than 30 minutes once I downloaded these goodies!

On Sale this week in my Etsy Store!  Turn any photo into a thank you card with this set of overlays.  12 designs in 3 colors, black, white, and gold, are perfect for graduation, wedding, baby, and birthdays.  They are 20% off through Sunday.
