Cecily Moore | From Where I Stand

Hi guys!   Cecily here again and I’m sharing another installment of my ‘From Where I Stand’ mini album today with you. This ongoing project is a bunch of fun and what’s even more fun is utilizing some of the great Little Lamm &Co products – like the Actuality elements and pattern paper – to make extra special pages for this little book. Below, you’ll get a peek at three spreads that I’ve recently finished in my mini album using the Actuality kit as well as some star confetti from my recent kit release at The Paper Curator. With those two simple things I was able to create very fun and interesting spreads in my little 4”x4” We R Memory Keepers album. I hope you’ll think about using the Actuality kit in your next project! I just love the colors and patterns – and well, everything about it!   Xo, Cecily

Nostalgic | Cecily Moore

Hi lovely readers!
Today I have a quick take on a layout using the lovely Milk Glass kit. I just love the look of this kit and how it enables me to pull some old photos and reinvigorate those memories through new pages. The basis for this page are the beautiful kit papers which I've trimmed into matching rectangles and layered atop each other with some stitches. To finish off the photo, I've framed it with some paper bits and photo corners and layered it underneath the 'nostalgic' phrase from the kit! I hope you enjoy this layout and be sure to check out the Milk Glass kit to help you document all your new and old memories.

Mini Book Inspiration | Cecily Moore

Hi All!

Lovely to be back with you today to share the beginnings of an exciting little mini album I’ve started recently. I realized that from month to month as I was going through photos – it was fun to see all the different shoes and surroundings that I could find within the context of my 'from where I stand' photos. It wasn’t something I planned but once I picked up on this fact – I just knew I wanted to create a mini album. Little Lamm & Co’s monthly templates and specialty collection templates like the Daily ones are the perfect addition to make this mini seamlessly beautiful. I only have a couple spreads at the moment but anticipate this little book will be a thrill to add to as the seasons roll on by (Can't wait till we're in flip flop season)! Hope you enjoy!

Cecily Moore │ Blink Inspiration and Publisher's Picks, Week 46

Hi Everyone!
Glad to be back with another layout for you all, and it's perfect for documenting those Fall memories. This 6" x 12" layout features the wonderful products from the Blink collection. I scattered the leaves from the Elements Kit down the right hand side, titled my page with the 'fall in love with moments not things" tag, and added some circle embroidery throughout for visual balance! This was a super easy spread to achieve but the beautiful color palette of this kit ties it all together wonderfully.

Cecily Moore │ Summer Mini Album

Hi All! Today I wanted to share a little mini album about a day at the beach I had earlier this summer. I’ve grabbed digital elements from the ‘Coastal’ Scrapbook Kit, as well as digital cards and overlays from the Summer Lovin set, and the patterned papers and alpha set from the ‘Great Expectations’ Scrapbook Kit and turned them into a fun little 4” x 4“ mini! The colors, patterns and textures of these kits mixed so well, and I was able to quickly and easily create an entire album with only these digital elements and my photographs!

I really wanted the color story of this mini to be pulled right from the images so I went for reds, teals, and yellows and carried those throughout my book. For the interior of the book, I used the album’s 4” x 4” page protectors, but I also included some two page spreads that were 4” x 8” or a little smaller and left those printed on heavy photo paper, just punching holes to insert them into the album. For any of the little tags and smaller embellishments, I used my tiny attacher to secure those on after printing and trimming them. The last thing I did to carry a theme throughout my album was to use a diamond pattern that I created as a clipping mask in photoshop which I dropped different pictures and patterned papers into. I used the layout a couple times in the album but in different ways so it stayed fresh, but still cohesive. Once finished, my little mini was bursting with fun colors and personality and it hardly took any time to complete! I hope you’ll give making a mini with these digital elements a go. It’s a great way to make a day, or week of memories have it’s own little place on your shelf.

Cecily Moore │ Interactive Scrapbook Layout

As a scrapbooker, I love getting the most out of my supplies, and one way I love to do that is to use journaling cards (especiallydigital ones!) on traditional layouts in new and inventive ways.

I wanted this layout to be fun and interactive so I simply began by laying it out digitally. The great thing about digital cards is youcan really manipulate their size and I definitely took advantage of that option here. I sized my photos and card designs to 3 ¼” squares and made two layers of designs in Photoshop. One layer was for the top of the flipping cards, and one was for the insides so I made sure I liked the look of each of them together. I then printed all the images and cards out onto matte photo paper and trimmed them to size. While the photos were busy printing, I grabbed a 12” x 12” white cardstock and drew the squares with a ruler on the back of the paper. I ran my x-acto along the bottom and two sides about 1/8” smaller than my printed designs so they would fit nicely in and over the flipping pockets. v

The first step to finishing this layout was to attach theback layer of pictures and patterns. I simply flipped my window-cut white cardstockover and placed my images over the cut lines and washi taped them all aroundfor security. Once I was done, I flipped the page over and opened the flaps tomake sure everything looked correct from the front side. At this time, Icreased the flaps, added permanent adhesive and my front images on top of theflaps.

Once all the images and cards were secure, I grabbed mystash of embellishments and began scattering word stickers, gold hearts, andother decorative elements throughout the page for added balance and interest.Once I was happy with the finished product, I closed the flaps and it was readyto be opened and enjoyed by other viewers!

I hope this inspires you to grab some digital elements andmake your own interactive spreads! These elements can also be brought intoproject life by simply adding flip pockets atop your page protectors so I urgeyou to give it a try – it’s a lot of fun!   Xo, Cecily | The Paper Curator
