Kym Tsukamoto │ Planner Love with Blink

I'm here to share with you a fun "new" to me technique that I learned to do with my Silhouette Cameo. I learned about the power of "fill with pattern." I never cared for the patterns that came already installed with the Silhouette software, so I never did use it much. I then learned that I could import digital patterned paper into the software and fill my own banners, tags, and flags with gorgeous patterns from Little Lamm & Co.

For today, I used Little Lamm & Co. Blink digital collection to print and cut a few tags and labels onto white sticker paper. To cut the sticker paper, I use a "kiss cut" so that it doesn't go through the backing paper. Here are the settings that I used to "kiss cut" from Avery Full Sheet Labels:
Blade: 1
Speed: 8
Thickness 18

I often create 4 sets of stickers so I can trade them with my co-workers. It sure makes me feel like a 7 year old trading stickers with my friends.

These labels and stickers are all ready to get put into my planner for the new week ahead.

Have fun making your own stickers.

Ruth Chan │ Hybrid Inspiration

LittleLammCo
Hi everyone! Ruth here with today’s inspiration post. I was working on some DIY gifts for Mother’s Day and was somewhat obsessed with origami. I love having everything come together in a unified look so having prints from a matching colour scheme was rather important to me.

I went ahead with making these origami books. The mini ones are from this tutorial. They make the sweetest petite brag books if you are interested. And come together in a jiffy. You can also modify the tutorial to make books. The sky’s really the limit. The fun thing about these small books is that they are, well, small, so you can use project life cards and will not lose anything in resolution.

The mini-book was made using some construction paper (approximately 250x354mm). I then added some text to Little Lamm Co design papers and cut them down to size. The pages turned out just the perfect size for the kids to write lil notes to grandma.
I do hope you’d enjoy making some yourself. They can be made for just about any occasion. Or simply ‘just because’!

Shannon Morgan │ Hybrid Inspiration

Have you ever looked at your pet and just melted? I have.
Cinnabear..Cinna Binna Tinna Minna..Cinna..Cinnamon Buns Morgan. She is that dog. The dog that makes everything better just by simply being.

I love scrapping her, capturing her beauty and catching her in quiet moments. If she sees you coming with the camera, she's coming up to nose it, you have to catch her unaware...candid shots are her specialty.

I loved pairing Cinna with some of the beautiful artwork created by Amie, at Little Lamm & Co.

Here's a close up of some of the gorgeous details in Amie's work, her images are beautifully detailed and when printed out, pure quality!

Materials used: Little Lamm & Co Digital Jadore Journal Cards and Little Lamm & Co. Digital Bloom Journal Cards

Thanks for letting me safer with you today!

My name is Shannon Morgan. I am a girl from the Great Lakes state inhabiting the South. I spend my time taking care of my family (Karl, Paddy, Mack, Cinna, Meg, Rock & a whole herd of fish) and trying to find serendipity in each day.  I’m a dreamer, I’m always looking at the world around me for inspiration. I love music, coffee, tattoos, Bill Murray, the color robin egg blue, water and animals of all kinds. My children sparked my need to scrapbook, I’ve always been creative…took art classes as a child, made books and paintings all the time, it just seemed fitting that I would document my children’s journey in this world. I’m very lucky to have a supportive husband and great parents and friends (who are my biggest fans). My goal in this life is to always try to do small things with great love, Blessed Mother Teresa said it best. <3

Zakirah Zakaria │ Hybrid Notebooks

Hi everyone! Zakirah here from Little Lamm & Co's Creative Team. Today I would like to share with you a little DIY project that I created with Amie's new kit.
A few weeks ago, my family and I started to purge our home from clutter. I found tons of loose foolscap papers from my sisters' school years. They're all still nice and usable so I decided to make some DIY notebooks.
I've never made my own notebooks before, so I had to Google for a tutorial. I found  a great step-by-step tutorial from this website  that used rubber cement to bind the papers.  Thankfully for a newbie like me, making a simple DIY notebook is not that hard.

I used Elmer's Rubber Cement, which can be found in most hardware stores (like Ace Hardware). A 4oz bottle costed me about $4.50 (MYR 14, in my currency).

I decided to cut the foolscap papers into half, so the size of the notebook is like Michele Wooderson's (of Mish Mash blog - she makes BEAUTIFUL handmade notebooks!):

Without further ado, here's a few shots of the book-making process:

1. I designed the covers using Photoshop, and got it printed at a local print shop. After cutting the covers & papers into size, I bound them using Elmer's rubber cement. I applied the rubber cement on the papers first, left them to dry and applied a few more coats to strengthen the bind. Then, I added the front & back cover, and applied a few coats of rubber cement on them to bind.

2. Here's how they look like in close-up:

3. The inside of the notebook, when the rubber cement is dry:

4. When the covers & papers are properly bound, I applied a masking tape to hold the front & back covers together:

5. Finally, here are the finished notebooks:

6. I embellished the front covers a bit. I used a foam tape to secure the flower into place, and VitalFix super glue to fix the beads onto the cover.

A few more shots of the finished notebooks:

If you have any questions, feel free to write them down on the comment section below and I will do my best to answer them.

Hello everyone! Zakirah here. I'm a 27-year-old scrapper from Malaysia. I've been digiscrapping since 2008 and I'm loving it! I scrapbook about my family and myself, and hopefully in the coming future, my pages will be a reason for my family to smile & ponder about life.
