December Daily Album│ Part 3

Day 6, was the last day of gymnastics for the year and Ian had a great day. I love how he hams it up for the camera. We also did some fun Krispie treats with our new cookie cutters and wanted to document them. 

Day 7: I documented the advent tradition we do. I wrap up 25 books and we open one each night to read. 

Day 8: we went to see the Christmas lights around town and packed some snacks and hot cocoa. I made the star card a flip up to add extra photos. One of us all in the car and one of Ian's favorite light display.

Day 9: was all about shopping and coffee. Again. 

December Daily Album │Part 2

Day 2: When you take these boys to a movie, you have to document it! I printed the movie poster at 6x8 and also printed out the movie review card from the Far Far Away Documenter kit, typed up the story, and stitched on a few star sequins. I just clipped the tickets on to the 4" x 6" card with a chipboard frame and number and then of course added a photo of the crazy boys.

Day 3: My album is 2 photos away from being a Starbucks catalog. I took this same photo last year of Ian shoveling with the red cups. I am hoping to take it every year. It was haircut day and we went to Starbucks after for a treat especially since Ian was such a good kid for the cut!

Days 4 & 5: I documented the gingerbread house. It was the first time we have done a real one. Last year, I just used graham crackers. And Day 5, I documented the packages delivered for Christmas and Ian's birthday. I wish I could say this was it.

25 Days Album Prep 2015

I am waiting for snow even though I am not looking forward to colder weather. And I am giddy looking at all the pretty things I can possibly use in my December album this year. 

I will be using a 6x8 handbook in wood grain. I purchased the Studio Calico Highlands add on and many of the Felix pieces from Seven Paper. And then of course, I had to have some stuff from Ali Edwards, of which I went and bought all digital. Then I have my own designs I want to implement. So many choices! I also went through my stash and pulled out anything metallic. I want to mix neutrals and metallics with little pops of color. 

I have all my digital goodies that I think I may use loaded into Dropbox so I can make some quick pages while I sit around waiting this December. I am hoping that will keep me on track. I have some pocket cards loaded just so I can add journaling and then print them out when I get home.

November is when I start to get excited about preparing for the holidays. I walked the aisles this month with my peppermint mocha from Starbucks, took in all the new pretties at Target, and wished we had room for a bigger tree so that I could fill my cart. Since that wasn't an option,  I came home and started designing.
