Mobile Memory Keeping Part 6│Printing

Mobile Memory Keeping Part 6Printing Apps

Get your memories off your phone and into your albums.
If you have the Project Life app, you can print your 12x12 or 8x8 pages directly from the app.  If you made pages in Phonto, you will need to upload them to your choice of printing with Dropbox.   Several apps will pull your photos directly from Facebook, or Instagram to print for you.

I used to have my photos printed at Costco and would pick them up once a week.  But then, I got a Canon MG7120 for Christmas a year ago and I have been printing from home ever since.  I order paper and ink from Amazon whenever I am running low, or from Canon when they have a great sale or send me a coupon code.

Whenever you are going to have photos or books printed, do a Google search for coupon codes!  There are almost always codes for Shutterfly or Snapfish, but you can save at lots of places if you just take a few minutes to look for a code. (try RetailMeNot or even the SnipSnap app)
Best Mobile Apps for Printing
(Apps listed Apple only still can be accessed and photos uploaded via a computer to have photos printed. )

Apps for Prints

Apps for Printing 12x12 - Photos need to be a high enough resolution to look good.

  • Project Life App
  • Persnickety Prints is the winner for this hands down Best quality and service and they have sales on their different print sizes multiple times a year.
  • Costco has a 12x18 size that you can have printed which especially nice if you do a 9x12 album because you can get two 9x12 per sheet.  I printed quite a few there before I had my large format printer.
Apps for Printing at Home

I have an app on my phone that I can use to print right from my mobile.  I really don't use it right now since I usually have my computer at hand.  But I see it coming in very handy.  I now have 2 printers and may move one to our upstairs so we can print on either floor without having to go up and down the stairs.  I use the Canon Pixma Maxify app and it works with both my Canon printers.
Another fun app I use is Artkive.  You can snap photos of all your child's art projects and have them made into a book instead of keeping every project they ever made. (I know how hard it is to get rid of some of those projects.  Sometimes because you love them, and sometimes because your child will not let them go!)
I have tried to pin all the printing apps to The Pocket Source Mobile Memory Keeping Pinterest board and listed both iTunes and Android for you.

If you have a favorite way to print, let us know!  I hope this series has been helpful.  And please comment if you have any questions!
